What Wellfleet does to a window
The outer Cape is the saltiest glass we see in Massachusetts and there is no sheltered side. Lieutenant Island, Indian Neck, Chequessett Neck, Corn Hill, Beach Point and the Provincetown waterfront take spray and a damp haze off Cape Cod Bay on every west and north wind, and the ocean side at Ballston Beach, Longnook, Newcomb Hollow and Cahoon Hollow takes it straight off the Atlantic. A nor'easter carries salt clear across the peninsula, and the fog that sits on the outer Cape through June and July keeps the film wet for weeks. The fishing fleet in Provincetown Harbor adds an exhaust film to anything facing the water.
The land is sand and pitch pine, and both end up on the glass. The wind carries sand and grit off the dunes and the beaches onto every pane and scratches the lower glass on windy afternoons, and the pines over the Wellfleet woods, Pamet and the North Truro hills drop yellow pollen from late April into June. Route 6 and Shore Road get salted and brined all winter, and plow spray leaves a de-icing haze on the front glass of homes near them.
Most outer Cape homes do best on an every-two-months plan, and oceanfront and bayfront glass often wants monthly in the windy months. Homes in the Wellfleet and Truro woods sometimes stretch to quarterly, with the inside glass done once a year either way. Rental and condo owners usually have us on a set day between guests, and we work Provincetown early, before Commercial Street fills up.

Can you remove hard water spots from sprinklers?
In most cases, yes. Mineral spots from sprinkler overspray need a dedicated treatment rather than regular cleaning. Tell us about them on the quote form and we will look at them on the first visit.
